  1. Unfortunately, it doesn’t really save you money when JetBlue continually cancels flights at the last minute and then either sticks you on a flight 2 days later or you have to buy a last minute ticket on another airline. Two out of the 4 flights I had with JetBlue in the last year were cancelled within 36 hours of the flight and in both instances all the other airlines were flying the same routes with no problem. And JetBlue’s delays are worse than almost every other airline – In the most recent DOT report for Jan thru Oct of 2018, Jetblue is ranked 9 out of 10 with only Frontier having more delayed flights than JetBlue. JetBlue averages only 70% of their flights on time – almost 10 percentage points lower than the other major carriers. Even Spirit has above 80% on time arrivals.

So personally, I wouldn’t fly on JetBlue again. The last time JetBlue cancelled I had to buy a last minute ticket on United and whatever savings I originally got from booking with JetBlue got cancelled by paying 2.5 times for a last minute ticket on United.
