Kimpton Password Gets You Free Benefits

Do you know the secret password? Kimpton brand hotels have a really cool promotion offering travelers various perks for giving a secret password to the front desk at check in. Guests who use the password will receive a “delightful surprise” at the discretion of the front desk agents. Kimpton runs this promo a few times a year. Currently, the password is “chilled to perfection.”

My Experience

I was bummed when I forgot to give the secret code at my stay in Grand Cayman so I set a google alert and followed Kimpton on Facebook. This time around, I had the magic words at the Kimpton Ink 48 and I received a pleasant surprise in the form of an extra $15 credit towards the mini-bar. If you know me, that’s probably the best possible perk for me. I tend to spend big bucks at hotel mini bars. Pro-Tip: Avoid Fiji’s from the mini bar unless you’re dying.

I felt a little awkward bringing it up so of course I did what I always do and cracked a joke. He wasn’t surprised at all, just said since you know the super secret code you’ll get double the “raid the mini bar” credit.
