Conclusion
This is a great discount if you have any planned stays at La Quinta or Marriott, and could even be a moneymaker with the latter. Many people have had success in the past when purchasing gift cards at the front desk, however that isn’t guaranteed since gift cards are excluded in the terms.

This is not that great considering it is only for Marriott and not any other brand in the chain. Any chance it will work for the other brands? I will give this a shot in the next two weeks.
