Posts That Caught My Eye

Hyatt Discontinues Their “Milestones” Recognition Program

Noooooo. I loved getting my gift at 25 properties and I am now closing in on 50 and was awaiting my recognition email. This is sad news. Maybe Hyatt could dial back the gifts and still send out the email. Of course then we would probably talk about how they devalued. 🙂

DP: Downgraded CSP to Freedom and all bonus transactions got retroactively given 5x points.

I saw this Reddit thread on Doctor of Credit’s recap today and am sort of shocked, that this happens, but it is good news. When you think about it,  since Freedom does pay 5X retroactively as long as you register by the cutoff date, it sort of makes sense.

Great Deals

$.20 in Fuel Points for Every $50 in Gift Cards at Giant Eagle (Visa/MC Included)

If you are in an area with Giant Eagle stores, this could be a nice way to rack up some free fuel. Unfortunately I’m stuck with Kroger fuel rewards which aren’t quite as good.

National Car Rental: One Free Day After 2 Qualifying Rentals & More Ways to Earn

A great promotion to earn free car rental days with National. You can sign-up here for the promotion and earn points for completing tasks. 600 points = a free day. Pretty good stuff.
