Here is a quick roundup posts and deals that caught my eye this afternoon.
Posts That Caught My Eye
Bill payment service Plastiq is offering a reduced fee promotion for paying bills with an Amex card. Through February 28, 2017 you will pay just a flat 2% fee instead of the normal 2.5% fee. If you have never used Plastiq before, then you can get 200 “fee-free dollars” towards bills after your first $20 payment by using our referral link.
A good primer on which behaviors you should avoid if you don’t want to see your accounts shutdown. For sure, over cycling your credit limit (using more than the limit in a month) and making anonymous payments (from bill pay services) are things to avoid.
If you have had the Amex Business Platinum card before and are looking to get it again, you might want to see if you are targeted. Apparently this offer doesn’t have the “once per lifetime” language so you would be able to get the bonus again if you have previously had it. To see if you are targeted, click this link and sign-in. If you get an error then you are out of luck!
As a reminder, the Sapphire Reserve 100K bonus is being halved after today for online applications. The link above is to my post from last week where I detail why you would or perhaps why you wouldn’t want to apply. If you decide to apply, please consider supporting the site by starting here.
As a reminder, we would love for you to join our 100% free Facebook groups. Our Travel Hacking group is over 2,500 members strong and our newly launched Reselling Group has close to 800 members already!
Have a great evening!
