SPG More For You Promotion
In what was a string of disappointing fall hotel promotions announcements, Starwood launched their More For You promotion a couple of weeks ago. More For You offers 2x Starpoints on all stays and 3x Starpoints on stays which include a Friday or Saturday night. (Thursday or Friday in the Middle East.)
This is just a friendly reminder to make sure to register for this promotion. Stays between September 15, 2014 and December 15, 2014 are eligible to earn the bonus points as long as you have registered by October 31, 2014. I always recommend people register just in case as you may forget later.
As with just about every promotion, More For You has a long list of terms and conditions (listed below) and quite a few excluded hotels as well. This definitely isn’t a promotion to go out of your way for, but if you have upcoming Starwood stays, then it is definitely prudent to register for the More For You promotion to get your bonus points.
Terms & Conditions
Registration: SPG Members must register online at spg.com/moreforyou by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) on October 31, 2014. Registered members can earn bonus Starpoints® for every eligible stay between September 15, 2014, and December 15, 2014 (the “promotion period”), at participating Starwood hotels and resorts. A list of nonparticipating hotels and resorts can be found atspg.com/moreforyou and is subject to change.
Earning: Registered members will earn double Starpoints on eligible stays of two or more nights, or earn triple Starpoints on eligible stays of two or more nights that include a Friday or Saturday night at participating hotels and resorts, other than those in the Middle East. Participating hotels and resorts in the Middle East will instead award triple Starpoints for eligible stays of two or more nights that include a Thursday or Friday night. Participating properties in the following Middle Eastern countries will award triple Starpoints for eligible stays of two or more nights that include a Thursday or Friday night: Amman: Jordan; Bahrain: Bahrain; Kuwait: Kuwait City; Lebanon: Beirut; Saudi Arabia: Al Khobar, Dammam, Jeddah, Makkah, Medina and Riyadh; Qatar: Doha; United Arab Emirates: Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai and Fujairah. Members who earn double Starpoints will earn an additional two (2) Starpoints per eligible US$1 spent (for a total of 4 (four) Starpoints per dollar). Members will earn an additional four (4) Starpoints per eligible US$1 spent (a total of six (6) Starpoints per dollar) on eligible triple-Starpoint stays. Elite-level extra Starpoints earnings and other bonuses will not be doubled or tripled. Only the base two-Starpoints-per-dollar earnings are doubled or tripled. There is no limit on the number of bonus Starpoints that can be earned during the promotion period. Offer is eligible with other Starpoints promotions; however, each offer will award bonus Starpoints independently of each other, and offers are not combinable.
Bonusing: Bonus Starpoints will post to the registered member’s account within 2–4 weeks after the qualifying stay posts.
Eligible Stays: An Eligible Stay is defined as two or more consecutive nights paying an Eligible Rate in the same hotel regardless of the number of check-ins or checkouts that occur and post to the member’s Starwood Preferred Guest® account. Eligible Stays with at least two nights in the earning period will receive a bonus. An Eligible Rate is any rate that is eligible to earn Starpoints in the Starwood Preferred Guest program. A description of SPG-participating hotels and resorts and of Eligible Stays and Eligible Rates can be found at spg.com under Terms & Conditions of the SPG program. See Section 1.4 b iii for the complete definition of Eligible Rates. Note that certain prepaid room reservations, such as when the booking is made through a third party, including but not limited to travelocity.com, expedia.com, orbitz.com and delta.com — are not considered Eligible Rates and do not earn Starpoints or qualify for promotional earnings.
