5. Shawn discusses the 4 different retention offers he got from Citi during one phone call

He was able to wrangle some pretty good offers out of Citi.  Just a reminder that it is worth giving Citi a call a few times a year, not just when the card is due for renewal.  They seem to be the most willing bank when it comes to retention offers.  American Express is a close second.

4. Chase has increased offers on many cards at their local branches

Definitely worth a trip to your local branch.  Some are 20,000 points higher than the public offer on the internet.  That is assuming you have a branch nearby and are not over the dreaded 5/24 rule.

This doesn’t mesh with everyone’s believes but it is something worth considering.  And it kind of goes hand in hand with my Great Debate series’ 4th entry…the true value of points.

MoviePass has been blowing up the last 6 months and it seems like everyone is taking advantage of this deal.  They recently lowered their price as well.  You can see my review on it here.

No surprise that this is the most popular post of the month since it is now the best premium card on the market, when you are talking perks.  I even discussed my experience using the perks so far earlier this week.  If you are thinking of applying consider using a reader’s referral and then posting yours after getting the card here.  It could be a good stacking opportunity with the latest Hilton Amex Offers.
