MtM Vegas DO Schedule

In case you missed initial announcement I’ll be hosting a miles & points meetup in Vegas next Saturday September 19. While I did send out this schedule to everyone who initially was interested, I thought it might be good to post it publicly since some people may still be interested in coming.

Since the majority of people asked for some sort of formal portion, the meetup will be at the large conference room at the Clark County Library at 1401 E. Flamingo Road. (Just a couple of blocks from the Strip.) We will have a few presentations and a general introduction for everyone. The main part of the event will run from 2-5pm. I am still trying to nail down a venue for dinner afterwards and will be announcing that for confirmed attendees sometime in the next few days.

If you are interested in attending, please email me at shawn@milestomemories.com to let me know you’ll be coming. There is no cost and I’ll even have a few cool prizes to give away!

Schedule

2PM – 2:30PM Introductions and Overview – Everyone will have an opportunity to introduce themselves, state where they are from and how they got into the hobby. Feel free to share as much or as little about yourself as you would like.

2:30PM-3PM Vegas/Casino Loyalty Programs by Alan the Single Flyer – An overview of casino loyalty programs and how they fit into the world of travel hacking.

3PM-3:15PM – Break

3:15PM-3:45PM From Newbie to Experienced in a Whirlwind Year by Miles to Memories Contributor PDX Deals Guy – Sharing the tips and methods used to get up to speed incredibly quickly within this hobby. There will definitely be some insight here for both newer people and more experienced veterans.

3:45PM-4PM – Break

4PM-4:30PM Deals, Ninja Tricks & More by Shawn Coomer – I will talk about some of my processes used for finding deals, show how I try to maximize every deal and share a deal too fragile to write about on the blog.

4:30PM-5PM Attendee Tips – Bring a short tip, trick or hack to share with the group. Tips should stay in the room and not be repeated elsewhere.

Hope to see you there!

    • Oh man! Well next time. There is the Travelcon Vegas on November 7. It is a much bigger and more formal event, but I will be speaking there. I also plan on having another informal get together soon!

  1. Sounds pretty exciting. However, as for someone that lives all the way on the East Coast, that’s quite a ways from me. Bummed. 🙁

  2. Looking forward to the upcoming post on all the super-secret tips that were shared that shouldn’t be posted to blogs…oh wait, Doh!

Wish I could be there, but I’ll be camping Yosemite, so I can’t complain too much!
