The other day I gauged interest for a Vegas miles & points meetup in September. After hearing back from several people, I decided that the optimal date to hold the meetup would be on Saturday September 19, 2015.
Your Feedback Needed – Formal or Informal?
As for a schedule, I still haven’t nailed that down, because I want to get more feedback from you. I am considering either doing just an informal meetup or perhaps a more formal get together with a Q&A and a few presentations.

What’s the location that we are meeting at?
I am finalizing it today. The room I am looking to book has plenty of space and is just about two blocks off of the Strip and close to the airport too. It should be convenient for everyone.
Is there a big fight, concert or event that weekend? Noticing some of the casinos have either blocked room comps or are charging higher than normal rates for Saturday evening.
I had the same luck with casino bookings but the Hyatt Place is 8k points for that Saturday.

HardRock is across the street if you want to relive old times but you’ll have a plan B room available in case you fail.
Looked it up and that weekend is the IHeartRadio music festival. MGM hosted.
Darn. I live here in Vegas, but I’m gonna be out of town. That particular day happens to be my wedding day. Oh well, I’ll have to meet up with folks around here another time.

Obviously! It’s baby steps with her.. I’ve just recently gotten her on board with using her in stores for Amex offers. She will be more willing I think after our honeymoon, which is all the result of our wonderful “hobby.”
