National Parks Free Admission Days 2015

America’s national parks are among the best in the world. While only 133 out of America’s 405 national parks charge entry fees, they can definitely add up.

For those people who spend a lot of time in national parks then the $80 annual pass is worth it. For others, a pass doesn’t make sense so they either pay individual entry fees or wait for fee-free weekends.

We Love National Parks

Hiking at the Lake Mead National Recrearion Area.

My family has enjoyed the national parks tremendously over the years. During our first cross country trip in 2007 we visited (and I wrote about) many national parks including: Badlands, Carlsbad Caverns, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon and more!

We also regularly visit Red Rock Canyon & Lake Mead here in Nevada. While I remember the good old days when all national parks were free, I understand the need for additional funding to be used for upkeep.

  1. Thanks for the update. I went to the Grand Canyon last President’s Day weekend and saved a few bucks. I hope to visit a few more in 2015. Do you have any recommendations for parks near Northern California?
