Neiman Marcus Amex Offer – Get $50 or 5K Membership Rewards Points

There is a new Neiman Marcus Amex offer that can nab you $50 back or 5,000 Membership Rewards points.  You can stack this with the one additional point per dollar for Neiman Marcus Amex offer if you get them on the same card as well.

Details of the Offer

  • Spend $250 or more, get $50 back (or 5,000 MR points) at Neiman Marcus
  • EXPIRES 8/26/2019

Get a one-time $50 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $250+ in one or more transactions in-store at Neiman Marcus or online at neimanmarcus.com by 8/26/2019. See terms for exclusions.

Terms of the Deal

Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid on US website at Neimanmarcus.com or at participating locations in the US. Excludes gift cards purchased in-store or online, restaurants and cafés located in-store, and Gift Now transactions. Not valid for Neiman Marcus Last Call, Cusp by Neiman Marcus, The Heart of Neiman Marcus, or purchases shipped outside of the US. Valid only on purchases made in US dollars. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 1 statement credit per Card Member. The enrolled account must be active, in good standing and not in default to receive the statement credit. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 8/26/2019, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items from your qualifying purchase have been provided/shipped by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer.

Final Thoughts

This should be a potentially profitable offer for gift card resellers if gift cards trigger the Amex Offer.  You need to buy physical cards in store to trigger the credit.  They will not work online or at least haven’t in the past.

If you are able to stack the Membership Rewards offer with the one point per dollar you should walk away with at least 5,500 points for the purchase.

    • You are forgetting about the minimum of 1 point per dollar you would already earn so it would be at least 2 points per dollar for $250 and then the 5,000 point bonus if you stack them for a total of at least 5,500.
