Conclusion
This is a great discount if you have any planned stays at their properties, and could even be a moneymaker. Some people have had success in the past getting gift cards at the front desk, however that isn’t guaranteed since it is excluded in the terms.

So much for my 10 nights at the Ritz Tokyo and Ritz Kyoto in November 🙁
How do you know which are the specified Ritz Carltons. I would use this in companion with my 3 upgrade certificates.
I’m pretty sure you have to the Chase Ritz-Carlton card to pay for the nights that use the club lounge certificates, if the one that come annually with that card are what you’re talking about. I also think you have to actually call Ritz-Carlton reservation to reserve the rooms for those certs, its a “special” rate.
You could of course use this AmEX offer with an SPG card to other charges.
