Staples Has No Fee Mastercard Gift Cards Online ($100 Cards)

There is a sale on Mastercard gift cards at Staples that I know our readers will find interesting.  They are for $100 denominations and you can buy a maximum of three of them.

The sale goes from now until August 25th but I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended it early.  Limit of 3.

Conclusion

Remember that Mastercard gift cards are more of a pain to deal with than Visa gift cards.  They also have more fraud issues. Be sure you have a way to liquidate them before purchasing.

Also be sure to use a card with the 10% Amex offer, the $5 off Amex offer, or a card that earns bonus points on office stores.

  1. I bought 5. All are drained and have fraud alerts on cards. The prepaid call center said I have to work with Staples to get them returned.

    • Are you sure they were drained? I guess they come unactivated and a separate activation code is sent out a day or two later in the mail.

  2. I tried a few times and it errors out every time. I was trying through the chase portal. Not sure if it even matters going through there, being that it’s a gift card.

  3. Actually, these cards come with an activation code mailed separately, so even if you don’t have a use right away you don’t have to worry about fraud.
