Target is bringing back a deal that we saw last year. For one day only they will sell Target gift cards at a 10% discount. The promotion is valid online only this time around. There’s a limit of $300 per household for a maximum discount of $30. The deal will run on 12.2.2018 only.

That severely limits the value of this offer, since I have purchased discounted Uber and other gift cards at Target using Target gift cards and getting stacked discounts of over 25%.
You can easily buy Target gift cards throughout the year for 8-10% off through resellers. Over the weekend, Raise had Target cards at 3% off, plus a 5% one day bonus discount, and another 1% back if you go through eBates. CardCash was at 3% off, plus a 6% bonus discount. After the holidays when supply jumps and demand falls, getting Target cards at greater than 10% off is not difficult at all. Don’t buy more than you are going to use for holiday shopping.
Can you stack 10% off with 5% red card discount for total of 15% off?

No, there is no REDcard discount on Target GCs. Better to pay with a points earning card.
