Test Drive Bonuses from Subaru and Jeep
A few weeks ago Shawn wrote about test drive promotions and how to go about making sure that you get the bonus and minimize the time required to do so. Now there’s two such bonuses available. Let’s check the details.
Subaru – $65
Subaru has a promotion that could get you a $65 gift card for test driving their new Outback model. The gift card comes in the form of a Visa Rewards Card. You need to fill out your information and you will receive a coupon code. Follow these steps to get this Subaru test drive bonus:
- Go to their main website
- Click ‘Find a Dealer’ on top right.
- Enter your zip code to find a dealer near you
- Click New Inventory at the dealer page and select Outback
- The promotion could pop up on the screen.
Key Terms
- Must be at least 18 years old, a US resident; present a valid U.S. driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Offer valid with test drive of a new Subaru only. Excludes WRX and WRX STI models.
- Offer void in Maryland.
- Limit one redemption code per household.
- Code can only be redeemed at participating Subaru retailer.
Chrysler/Jeep – $50
Chrysler/Jeep has a promotion that could get you a $50 gift card for test driving a Pacifica, Wrangler or Compass. The gift card looks like it comes in the form of an Visa, Amazon or Walmart gift card. You need to fill out your information and you will receive a coupon code. To get the promotion bonus, follow these steps:
- Go to their main website
- Click ‘Find a Dealer’ on top right.
- Enter your zip code to find a dealer near you
- Click View Inventory for a specific dealer.
- The promotion could pop up on the screen or show up as a tab on the upper right corner.
Key Terms
- Limit one coupon redemption per household per 6 months.
- Coupon can only be redeemed at dealership location reflecting the website where the offer was presented online.
- It may be redeemed only once.
- By signing up for this Promotion you agree to receive communications related to this Promotion.
- Dealer reserves the final decision to redeem or refuse any reward card certificate or coupon.
- Must be 18 or older and present a valid U.S. Driver’s License to qualify. Shipping to U.S. addresses only.
Conclusion
Some decent bonuses if you find the offers available at dealers near you. Check the expiration date for your own offers.

Did one thru Hundai. May not have spelled the name right just remember not Honda. Did this fall of last year. Dealer filled out info and I was sent virtual 50.00 Visa card with card with in 30 minutes. Next tried to do one at Grindstaff Jeep Cherokee in Elizabethton went the last day of promotion was told person who takes care of that would be back Monday. Got the run around left messages then a man called states his name was Adam and that my name wasn’t on the certificate which wasn’t true. States he would put in through and see what happens. Which is bull I know I will never mess with local I will go to Johnson City when if and when I need a car and buy one there won’t be any bull. I thought Steve Grindstaff stood behind his word but I guess it’s bull like the bull I was pu through. Hope this helps someone don’t give up because you can get gift cards for test drives.
It does NOT take a month to get your card. It only takes a month if they take a month before entering your information into the dealer redemption site (literally takes them 1 minute don’t leave before they do it)
It took them 20 min after the test drive. You would get an email to redeem it online. You can chose a virtual card or pay for an actual card
I did subaru test drive and gave the dealer the redemption code.
Test drive date : 05/11/2018.
Code expires on 05/18/2018.
I have been calling the dealer everyday that i have not received it.
He says it will take one month to receive your gift card.
Has anyone faced the same issue?
Check your spam folder, sometimes it be in there.
Can a dealership refuse to let me test drive to redeem the code? I don’t see it in the terms.
I have never heard of that happening.
No Jeep for me it was prefilled in for a Chys Pacifica
