Citi is offering a 10% discount when you redeem ThankYou points on select gift cards. This is not the best use of points but could be useful for some people who have a small balance left.

The Offer

Now until June 5, 2018 get 10% off points on select gift cards:

• $50 Home Depot Gift Cards – 5,000 4,500
• $50 Saks Fifth Avenue Gift Cards – 5,000 4,500
• $50 Bed Bath & Beyond Gift Cards – 5,000 4,500

Conclusion

Citi ThankYou points can always be redeemed at 1 cent each. With this promotion, you can redeem them for 1.11 cents. We have seen better promotions in the past from ThankYou points.

However, if you have either the Citi ThankYou Premier or Prestige, you can redeem them for a value of 1.25 cents each through the portal. If you have a Prestige Card as well as a Premier Card, you can do even better! You can pool your ThankYou Points and redeem them in conjunction with the Prestige’s 4th night free perk for a redemption value over 1.6 cents a point.
