United Airlines Tahiti Sale

United Airlines Tahiti Sale

The deal has returned 1/21/20.  Hat Tip Dans Deals

We see Delta Air Lines sales almost weekly and American Airlines Economy Web Specials have been giving us some awesome redemptions here and there. Now United Airlines is joining the trend with similar deals.

The airline has an award sale for Tahiti currently. A standard redemption in Economy would be priced at 35,000 miles each way, or 70,000 miles round-trip. But, you can book at a discount of 35-45%.

The biggest discount is for Premier elite members who can save 45% off an award ticket. That would bring the price down to just 38,500 miles round-trip. Other MileagePlus members get a discount of 35%. That gives you a price of 45,600 miles for a round-trip award. Taxes are about $55.

How to Book

If you want to take advantage of this sale, log in to your MileagePlus account and search for the travel dates that work for you. You must travel between January 14 and March 8 on United operated flights only.

The sale is valid from any U.S. city for Economy awards only. You get a free checked bag as well.

Conclusion

A good deal for those who have MileagePlus miles. If you don’t, you can transfer from Chase Ultimate Rewards. Travel dates are somewhat limited and keep in mind that these are very long flights on United metal. A good deal, but certainly not for everyone.
