Another Popular Gift Card Buying Route is Dead!

Green Dot variable load (up to $500) Visa Gift Cards were an option to earn credit card rewards or complete spending at Walmart. But today there’s some bad news being reported at our Facebook Group.

Walmart is no longer allowing credit cards as a form of tender for these Green Dot cards. The only payment allowed is cash or debit. This is not just a change in policy but also a change in their system as the new rule is already hard-coded. The switch probably happened sometime today or yesterday.

Conclusion

There’s been plenty of sad news lately and this is just one more avenue that is closing down. I suspect it applies to all Walmarts but let us know if you’ve successfully made any purchases in the last day or two.

  1. Went to Wal-Mart with visa debit gift card .they do not allow money orders anymore .
    Is it now official Wal-Mart mo is dead
