Amex Targeted Offers Incognito Mode

Amex Targeted Offers Incognito Mode

American Express has been fairly aggressive over the past couple of years in coding their website to display different offers to different people. Some of the best bonuses I have received such as the Business Gold 75K offer, have been by visiting in incognito mode. Today, there are a couple of very good offers showing up via this method.

Amex SPG 30K

Amex Targeted Offers Incognito Mode

The Offer
  • Earn 30,000 bonus Starpoints® after you use your new Card to make $3,000 in purchases within the first 3 months.
Analysis

The normal bonus on this card is 25K, so this is a decent increase. Historically the highest the bonus has ever been is 35K and that was only once earlier this year. I think 30K is a great bonus if you are looking at this product.

Premier Rewards Gold 65K

Amex Targeted Offers Incognito Mode

The Offer

Earn up to 65,000 Points – 40,000 points after you spend $2,000 on purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months. Plus earn 25,000 Points in your second year of Card Membership after you spend $2,000 on Card purchases between 11/19/2017 and 02/19/2018.

Analysis

This is a very good bonus and about the best you can get with this card if you are going to keep it long term. 50K offers do surface from time to time and there has even been a highly targeted 75K offer before as far as I remember. Still, 65K is up there but only do this if you are organized enough to hit that 2nd year bonus.

Everyday Preferred 30K

Amex Targeted Offers Incognito Mode

The Offer

Earn 30,000 Points after you spend $2,000 on purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months.

Analysis

This equals the best offer we have seen on this card and it is a great one in my opinion. This card has the ability to earn up to 4.5X at supermarkets and 3X at gas stations plus the bonus itself is quite valuable and you have a no annual fee downgrade option to the regular Everyday card after the year if you want.

Once Per Lifetime

All of these offers follow the Amex “once per lifetime rule”. The language on the apps states “Welcome bonus offer not available to applicants who have or have had this product.”

How to get the Offers

To get these offers to show up, simply use private/incognito mode and visit this page. You should see a list of about 20 cards. I was able to reproduce all of the offers above on every visit. Good luck!

  1. You’re quite busy today with these posts! I have a quick question for you. I currently have 4 Amex cards (SPG, BC, BCP, Simply Cash). If I want the 30k Everyday offer should I close one of my cards first? Should I apply and if it goes to pending at that point call and close? Will the system auto-decline me if I’m already at the limit? Will I have better luck getting approved if I preemptively reduce down to 3 cards? Just not sure what the best plan of attack is. What I do know is that in December I’ll be downgrading my BCP to a BC (yes, I’d have two) and as such wouldn’t need a duplicate BC. I figured though that I might as well keep it for amex offers and building age of credit in the interim.

    • It seems the data points on 4 cards are mixed lately. Vinh has a theory that the 5th card can be a Hilton card. Generally the system will auto-deny and it can be a hassle to get approved. If I were you I would cancel one before applying unless you absolutely feel you need to ones you have and don’t want to let one go.

      • I was thinking along the same lines as what you recommended. Probably going to close my blue cash card and then apply. That’s if I can get the 30k offer to come up! I’ve tried different VPN servers (Texas, NY, Seattle) at least 10x on each and still no luck. I was using Chrome incognito.

BTW what’s the expiration date on that 30k offer? I’d like to give it a bit of time between closing and applying to let the system run it’s course.
