Wonder La in Kerala – A Much Different Experience
I try not to write about amusement parks too much on this blog. While riding roller coasters and visiting new and unique parks is one of my favorite things to do, I recognize it isn’t for the masses. From time to time I do cover a topic related to amusement parks here, as it is often relevant to traveling families.
Earlier this year when I was in India for the Kerala Blog Express, I had the pleasure of visiting a very unique little park in Kerala called Wonder La. Since I recognize most people will not want to look at a million photos from the park, I approached a site called Park Journey which covers the amusement niche.
Park Journey agreed to publish my trip report from Wonder La and it has gained widespread attention. I have argued in the past that amusement parks provide close cultural experiences and I think you will see that reflected in my trip report. From the uniqueness of the rides to the difference of rules, it was quite an interesting experience.

Hi All, The park is a great place, but the security and staff behavior is pathetic. This incident happened to us on 4th Oct 2014. One of the security staff had a Camera Mobile and he had taken videos of ladies playing in the wave pool and also in the Rainfall.(Even my Family was affected by this) I had got this escalated with the Management. They were so soft and promised to take all necessary steps until 7pm, They started shouting at us and also told us to do what ever we want. They were scared only when the public was available, once every one left they showed their true colour. They were telling me that this is a small issue and why I was taking all these things seriously, I made sure that the phone was destroyed and for security reasons I had collected the Memory Card. (I do not want to post the videos I think you all would know why?) The reason why I am posting this is because I do not want any ladies to be affected the same way we were.
For the Staff in Wonderla this is a very small issue, but for all the ladies and girls this is a very big issue. Its a great place to spend a vacation, but as far as Privacy is concerned, its the WORST place.
