All three Chase Southwest personal cards have public bonuses for 60,000 points that expire today. However, you can still get those same bonuses through referral links for another week. The expiration date on the referral bonuses is January 15th, 2019.

Need to Know

Here are some facts about the cards you should know:

  • Southwest points are often worth 1.5 cents each towards airfare. This increased offer is like getting an extra $150 in value.
  • Points earned from this bonus DO COUNT towards the Southwest Companion Pass.
  • These cards are known to be subject to Chase’s 5/24 rule.

Eligibility

These products are not available to either:

  • (i) current Cardmembers of any Southwest Rapids Rewards® Credit Card, or
  • (ii) previous Cardmembers of any Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card who received a new Cardmember bonus within the last 24 months. This does not apply to Cardmembers of the Southwest Rapid Rewards Business Card and Employee Credit Card products.

Conclusion

These are good offers on all three cards and are especially useful to get the Southwest Companion Pass at a good time, since it will last close to two years. But we have seen better 60K offers in the past, will less spending required. The 60K offer is available for the Chase Southwest Premier Business version as well. When you stack a personal card offer with the business card offer you would have more than the required 110,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards points needed for the companion pass.

For frequent Southwest flyers the Priority card is probably the best fit with all of the added perks you get and the Southwest credit.  For more infrequent flyers the Plus version is the best fit in my opinion since the annual fee is very manageable.
