Citi Checking Account Offer, Earn 30,000 AAdvantage Miles

Citi has a public offer for new checking accounts that can earn you 30,000 American Airlines AAdvantage miles.

The Offers

Open a new eligible checking account in the Citibank Account Package between 10/15/18 – 11/30/18 and get a bonus of 30,000 American Airlines AAdvantage miles when you complete the following requirements within 60 days:

  • Spend at least $375 on qualifying purchases using your Citibank® Debit or ATM Card.
  • Download the Citi Mobile App and log in to your new Eligible Checking Account.

Key Terms

  • Open account by November 30, 2018
  • Must not currently have or have had an account a Citibank consumer checking account within last 180 calendar days.
  • Citibank Account Package has $25 monthly fee that is waived with $10K balance.

Conclusion

We have seen bonuses as high as 60,000 AAdvantage miles in the past, but those offers are targeted and have more requirements. There’s also a cash bonus if you do not value AA miles much.

The image in the offer page says you will get 30,0000 AA miles, so maybe they do mean 300K? That would be really nice!

  1. Any word on how long the account needs to remain open? Not a huge fan of Citibank’s banking services so wouldn’t want to use them as my primary provider for too long.
