FYI to everyone. This 15% AMEX promo is a joke. Its the AAA rate. If you have AAA or even if you dont, you can still book the AAA rate. Its the same thing. I checked many major cities. You can try it yourself. The only difference is the hilton 5k points which is still good if you plan on staying with hilton anyway. but note that you dont get the 500 pt app booking promo since you have to use this website. wish there was a amex discount code instead then maybe you can stack.

As you implied, for existing reservations you cannot just pay with your Hilton AMEX card. You must rebook thru the specific site shown above. A bit strange of Hilton because you can’t reserve straight from the app which is exactly what they have been encouraging for months. And, as you say, using the ANEX promo link may not necessarily give the best rate.
