Conclusion

A good offer for an upgrade that could be worth as much as 70,000 points. That’s close to the signup bonuses we have seen for this card. Some people also report receiving 50K or 60K points upgrade offers. Those are a bit less that the value you get with two free nights, but give you more flexibility.

  1. I wonder if this upgrade will be promoted again after 9/30/19. Upgrading now would be waste by not getting the 2 free nights.

  2. Unfortunately all I get is “Stay Another Night” but then it just says my future certificates will be worth 35k instead of 25k. No incentive at all to upgrade, especially since they change the anniversary date when you upgrade, so I would have to wait another year to get the first certificate. Any ideas for how to get myself on the better offers? Spend?
