MileagePlus Shopping Spring Bonus Offer

MileagePlus Shopping Spring Bonus Offer

Over the past few months we have seen an increase in the frequency of mileage portal bonuses. United keeps that trend going with a new bonus of their own.

The Offer

Turn spring into bonus award miles.

Key Terms

  • “Spring Bonus” bonus campaign, runs from 04/02/17 through 04/14/17 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”)
  • Member will earn a one-time bonus of up to 1,000 MileagePlus® bonus award miles on qualifying purchases, in addition to the standard MileagePlus miles earned from shopping online through the MileagePlus® Shopping mall.
  • “Qualifying purchases” do not include returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases, and certain products that are not eligible for bonus miles.

Earning Structure

  • 300 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of at least $150.
  • 1,000 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of $350 or more.

You can find the full details and terms of the promotion here.

Conclusion

This bonus adds 2-2.85X in addition to the normal payout you will receive from the portal. I always use a comparison site like Cashback Monitor to make sure I am getting the best return. I’m glad to see this bonus return and I plan to take advantage at the $350 level! Happy shopping.

  1. Just a friendly reminder to be careful about using the abbreviation 1K with United. When I read the “United 1K” in the headline I thought you were talking about a shortcut to getting to United’s Premier 1K mileage program.
