Amazon Free Trials And Promotions Roundup

I thought it would be helpful to put together a list of all of Amazon’s free trials and promotions that they are currently running.  I will be updating and re-posting this on a monthly basis.  These are all affiliate links and we get a small fee if you decide to sign up for any of the programs.  It is a good way to support the website if you see something you wanted to test out anyway.  Remember that most of these will come with an auto renewal so set up a calendar reminder so you can decide if you want to use it long term.

List of Currently Ongoing Amazon Deals

I wanted to start off with a list of deals currently being offered by Amazon that can save you some money:

Amazon Prime

Amazon Prime –

Test out Amazon Prime free for 30 days.  You will then be placed into the monthly plan at $14.99 a month.  If you enjoy the service you are better off paying the yearly plan at $139 per year saving you almost $40 a year.

You can connect your Prime account to your Twitch account for free.  Perfect for gamers out there.

With the holidays fast approaching you can also give the gift of Prime Membership. This is also a good way to lock in the lower price the next time Amazon increases the Prime membership price.

Prime Discounted Monthly Offering

Prime is just $5.99/month for qualifying customers in select U.S. government assistance programs such as holders of the EBT card.

Create an Amazon Business Account –

Amazon offers business only price savings with these accounts and they are free.  They sometimes pair up with other promos like the recent Uber promo and $100 off your first order offer. Sometimes they also offer a free gift for signing up for an account so it may be worth waiting.

Once you have an Amazon business account you are eligible for the Amazon Business card’s increased offer of $150 upon approval and 5% back on Amazon.

TV Channels

Starz –

It is a 7 day free trial and then $8.99 a month after that.

PBS Kids

7 day free trial and then $4.99 a month after that

AMC+ –

Get a 7 day free trial and then $8.99 a month after that.

Cinemax –

7 day free trial and then $9.99 a month after that.

Paramount+ –

It is a 7 day free trial and then $9.99 a month after that.

Showtime Prime Video Channel

Try Showtime free for 7 days and then the cost is $10.99 a month after that.  Another cord cutting option.

Entertainment/Music/Books

Fire Tablet –

Trade in your old tablet, Fire or other, and get an Amazon gift card for the value of the tablet plus a 20% off coupon towards a new Fire tablet.

Prime Music –

This is free to Prime subscribers and comes with over 2 million free songs.  It has a much smaller library than the unlimited plan below that costs $79 a year. No reason not to set it up if you have a Prime membership though.

Kindle Unlimited –

Get access to as many books as you want for $9.99 a month.  They come in 6, 12, and 24 month plans. Memberships are giftable as well – good option for the holidays.

NEW MEMBERS WITH PRIME Get 3 months free to test it out. It is $9.99 a month after that.

Amazon Music Unlimited –

A 30 day free trial that allows you to listen to 10’s of millions of songs.  Pairs perfectly with the Alexa too.  The cost is $8.99 per month.

NEW MEMBERS can get Amazon Music Unlimited for 3 months for free. The cost goes to $8.99 per month after that.

Amazon Free Time Unlimited –

This offers a one month free trial for everything a kid could want. Unlimited access to thousands of kid-friendly books, movies, TV shows, educational apps, and games. Starting at just $4.99 per month after the first month.

Audible Romance

Treat yourself to a free, one-month trial of the Audible Romance Package.
After that, your first 3 months are just $9.95/month.

Audible –

Try Audible and get 2 free books for 30 days.  The cost is $7.95 or $14.95 a month after that depending on which plan you pick.

Food/Grocery/Home

Amazon Family –

Signing up for Amazon Family gets you discounts on things like 20% off diapers, baby food & more. There is no cost to join you just need a Prime membership.

Amazon Fresh –

Free for Amazon Prime members

Amazon Home Services –

Amazon will set you up with cleaning services for inside and outside your house.  There is not a free trial but there are some coupons for $20-$30 off the services.  Not as good of a deal as the cleaning special they had a little while ago though.

  1. I think it’s probably time to remove the “Shop with Amazon App, Get $10 Promo Code” which expired June 30, 2020, from the list.

  2. In some markets, Amazon Prime now offers free 2 hour delivery from Whole Foods. I signed up for the service in October (and received the “invitation” within 2 weeks) but have not yet ordered from them. I think you have to live pretty close to a Whole Foods for this to apply. My old address was 10 miles away and the free service wasn’t offered. New address is about 5 miles away and that works.

  3. I have never had grocery deliveries. I’ve never tipped delivery for AmEx or UPS. What is the norm, or expectation, for a tip to your grocery deliveryman, since I imagine they aren’t just left at your door?

    • I would think tipping them about what you do a pizza driver would be nice but I would expect it would depend on how much stuff they are hauling in for you.

      • I ordered through Amazon for a Whole Foods delivery last week. Amazon automatically adds a $5.00 tip but you can remove it if you want. I was fine with the tip as I am grateful people are willing to do these jobs. They did just leave it at the door. No contact. Oh, and no delivery fee; I think it has to be at least a $35.00 order for no delivery fee.
