Staples.com No Longer Prices Matches, Some Stores Will

This is not new news so to speak.  Staples stopped price matching at the end of September.  I had missed it originally and I imagine some of you did as well. I figured it would be good to put out there with Holiday shopping upcoming and Staples price match being a favorite tool of many.  Reader Jody M. actually reached out to tell me about it and I could only find a post from DoC talking about it so I think it went under the radar a bit.

Staples will still do the price match in store but you have to contact them directly.  That is not ideal and you would miss out on the portal payouts but it may still be valuable for the office store bonus category.

Many people think this is because of Staples financial issues.  That seems likely but we have to wait to see how that all plays out.

Here is a list of other stores and their price matching policy.  Hopefully one of these will work as a replacement.

  1. Unclear statement: Staples stopped price matching at the end of September.

Is it that Staples.com stopped in September? Otherwise the whole story is a history lesson, not a contemporary tip.

    • That is why I said early on in the article it was older news but not widely covered and I wanted to make sure that people were aware of it before they try it while doing their holiday shopping.
