The Propel Card is issued by Wells Fargo but runs through American Express network which means that it will have Amex Offers and offer some purchase protections. It comes with a decent $300 welcome bonus that requires $3,000 in spending. The bonus could be even more valuable, as I explained on the original post.

It also has a very compelling earning structure for a no fee credit card earning 3% back on dining, travel, and gas.  That makes it one of the best no fee cards out there.

Current customers of the original Propel will be converted to the new card and benefits automatically.

  1. Two questions. If I have the Wells Fargo Money Wise Credit Card (got it within the last 2 years), will I still be able to get the bonus on this card?
Also, will this card get me offers from American Express like the ones I have been seeing all over the blog world these past couple days? I have never had an American Express card but all of the extra bonuses and deals lately make me wonder if I should get one.

    • You should be able to get the bonus since they are different products. I am pretty sure you can get Amex Offers with this card but not the Amazon Membership Rewards offers since this card does not earn those.

  2. Uber card is better. It gives 4x on dining, pays for my Netflix, provides cell phone protection similarly, and a little MS and my Uber rides are much much less expensive.

    • Uber is probably a little better long term but it will take a long time to make up the $200 difference in welcome bonus.
